My Story
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!
My name is Fairlie, and I live in the Geelong region.
By day I am a very dedicated Primary School teacher at a school on the outskirts of Geelong. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, following the footy (Go Cats!), trying to stay fit and catching up on some TV. Now, before this starts looking like a profile on a dating site, here is my Scentsy journey so far.
On a holiday in Hawaii, I made a visit to Walmart and found some Christmas scented Wax Melts (I'm a huge fan of Christmas and these were not available in Australia) On returning home and investigating how to use them safely, I stumbled upon a number of online posts from people raving about their Scentsy products. Not thinking they would be in Australia, cos we often don't get the good stuff, but lo and behold, they were!
Now, I do love candles and the atmosphere they create, however, I always have that nagging doubt in the back of my mind as to whether I have extinguished them properly, and the fear of returning to a home in flames!! I was impressed by what the Scentsy product provided (safety, cost effective, a great smelling house), and set to work finding a local consultant. She was magnificent, and I purchased through her without even smelling a sample!! Within 5 minutes of delivery, I had my Scentsy warmer set up in my classroom and the kids were loving it - and my classroom smelled amazing (not like stinky kids!)
From that moment forward I toyed with the idea of becoming a consultant (School holidays put crazy thoughts into the heads of teachers.) I finally decided to take the plunge and joined the Scentsy family. I look forward to sharing their fabulous products with you. In the time I have been with the Scentsy Family I have reached a number of goals in sales, promoted to a Lead Consultant, and have also travelled to our first Scentsy Family Reunion where I was lucky to spend time with Heidi and Orville Thompson (Scentsy Founders) and other members of the Scentsy Home Office team. I have since attended nearly all Scentsy events in Australia. They are a great experience!
In 2015 I was able to use the commission I had earned from my Scentsy business to help fund my dream of visiting New York City. Without Scentsy, this may never have happened. Scentsy can help dreams come true!
